almost.earth is a free geography puzzle for entertainment and informal learning.
Maps and accuracy
Each puzzle deliberately hides one country or territory. Revealed maps use generalized geographic data and may omit small features. Boundaries and separate answers do not express a position on sovereignty. Do not use these maps for navigation, surveying, or decisions requiring precise geographic information. Facts link to their sources, and corrections are welcome.
Progress and availability
Progress lives in your browser. Clearing site data, using another device, changing browsers, or visiting a different domain can remove or separate it. We cannot restore device-local records. Puzzles and features may change, and availability is not guaranteed.
Fair use
Please use the site without disrupting it, abusing its infrastructure, or interfering with other players. Natural Earth’s underlying map data is public domain; other site material may have separate rights.
Advertising and external services
Advertising is currently disabled, and the game does not require purchases. If ads are introduced, their placement will follow the rules described in Help and About. External reference links lead to services with their own terms and privacy practices.
These terms were updated on 14 September 2026.
